Common questions
Sternum dermals vs the surface bar — which lasts?
Dermal anchors sit in a single point and move with the skin, so many chests hold them better than a fixed surface bar. Both are honest 6–12 month commitments; we will recommend the one your anatomy actually suits.
How do dermals actually work?
A single-point anchor sits in a small punch in the skin and the decorative top screws in flush. No entry-and-exit holes — just one point per piece, so bags, seatbelts and waistbands bother them far less.
Can I change the dermal top myself?
Once fully healed, yes — tops unscrew, and we stock titanium and gold designs at the studio. During healing, leave it strictly alone; changing early is how anchor pockets get irritated.
