What is a Medusa piercing?
The Medusa (philtrum piercing) sits centred in the vertical groove between your nose and upper lip. Symmetry is its whole personality, so we mark it carefully with you before the needle goes anywhere.
How long does a Medusa take to heal?
The outside settles in about 6–9 weeks; swelling in the first week is the main event. Rinse after meals, saline outside twice daily, and keep lipstick and balms away from it while it heals.
Can I switch to a ring later?
Yes — once fully healed, most clients keep the flat-back stud for daily wear and add a small ring for occasions. The stud heals it straighter and catches less on the lip.
