Where is a nape piercing placed?
At the back of the neck, in the flat skin between the hairline and the collar — worn horizontally with a surface bar, or vertically. It is one of the most striking placements we do, and fully hideable under hair or a collar.
Does hair affect a nape piercing?
Yes — hair carries oil and product, and constant snagging is the enemy of a healing surface piercing. Tie hair back off the area for the 6–12 month heal and keep conditioner and pomades away from it.
