Common questions
What is a tongue piercing healing really like?
Expect 3–5 days of noticeable swelling — cold water rinses and soft cold food are your friends — then it settles quickly. Full healing is fast for a facial piercing: roughly 4–6 weeks.
Will it affect how I talk?
For the first few days, slightly — your tongue is adjusting to a new tenant. By week one most clients speak normally, and the initial long barbell is downsized to a snug fit once the swelling drops.
